We believe in the eternal Holy Scriptures and accept the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments as the very words of God. We believe that the Bible was verbally inspired in all parts; therefore, it is wholly without error and altogether sufficient in itself as the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice. We believe that God has preserved His Word to the English-speaking people through the King James Version.

We believe that there is one God Who is eternal, self-existent, immutable, sovereign, and personal. We believe that God is absolutely separate from and above the world as its Creator, yet everywhere present in the world as the Upholder of all things. We believe in the tri-unity of God; that is, He has one nature and one essence, yet manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe They are equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. We believe that God is worthy of all possible praise, confidence, glory, and love.

We believe that man was the direct creation of God and that he was made in the image and likeness of his Creator. We believe that man was given the opportunity to prove his righteousness under the law of his Maker; however, Adam’s voluntary disobedience caused man to become a sinful creature. We believe that, because of Adam’s sin, all men are born with a sinful human nature which is in need of redemption. We believe that man, by nature and by choice, is sinful and unable to save himself and that he is under the just condemnation of God.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin in order to reveal God and redeem man. We believe that Christ never ceased to be God nor did He abandon any attributes of His Deity. We believe that Jesus freely gave Himself on the cross to be a substitute for man’s penalty and to become the final sacrifice for man’s sin. We believe that by His physical death on the cross, Jesus Christ accomplished man’s redemption by the shedding of His own blood and that Christ’s death surpassed the requirements of the law, allowing man free and bold access to the throne of God. We believe that Jesus was buried for three days in the earth and that our justification was made complete by His literal and physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that Jesus Christ ascended back to Heaven, is exalted at the right hand of God the Father, and, as our High Priest, fulfills the ministry of Intercessor and Advocate.

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God that has been offered to man by grace. We believe that this pardon is not merited or secured in any part by man’s virtue or good works, but is received through a humble asking of God. We believe that we are sinful and consequently separated from a holy God; however, we can receive God’s gift of salvation by believing that Christ’s death on the cross is a complete work of God and that His death was in our stead. The Bible says if we simply call on God to save us from our sinful state and repent or turn from our dead works or former beliefs ( how we previously thought we could be made right with God), that God responds by giving us salvation and eternal life in heaven. We cannot earn this, it is solely a graceful gift of God. We believe that once our complete faith is in Christ’s vicarious sacrifice, we are kept by the power of God and are thus secure in Christ forever; our salvation can never be forfeited or taken away. We believe that once we are regenerated, our new birth will be evidenced by good works, a love for other Christians, a change in mind and heart, and a desire to obey the principles found in the Word of God.

We believe that the process of sanctification begins with regeneration (a new spiritual birth) and should be lived out in the heart of every child of God each day so as not to bring reproach upon the Savior. We believe that the power of the Holy Spirit will help a believer to live effectively for God in the world while remaining unspotted from sinful influences of the world. Each man and woman has different besetting sins, struggles and strongholds; thus we believe that God challenges and grows each of His children individually, He leads them to a church body where they begin to learn of and live a new holy life, naturally separating from old sinful pleasures, practices and associations, and begin to find joy in good, honest and right things.

We believe that the local church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a congregation of baptized believers who have voluntarily united together for the purpose of worship, fellowship, and fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe that the head of the church is Christ and that the under-shepherd is the called and qualified pastor. We believe that the only two Scriptural offices given for the benefit of the church are that of pastor or elder and deacons whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures. We believe that baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper are the only two ordinances that God gave to the local church to obey. We believe that baptism is the total immersion of a believer under water, an act which both signifies our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ; and also shows our death to sin and self and resurrection to newness of life in Christ. We believe that the elements of the Lord’s Supper, unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine, are symbols of Christ’s body and blood and do not become the actual body and blood of our Lord. We believe that this observance should be done by members of the local church and should be preceded by careful examination. We believe that the local church should be autonomous, self governing, and self supporting.

We believe in the literal interpretation of the Scriptures. We believe in the rapture, the catching away of the church saints out of the earth, followed by the judgment of GOD upon the earth and the remaining inhabitants. We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ and His literal rule of one thousand years on this earth. We believe that following our Lord’s reign will be the Great White Throne judgment and then the new heaven and the new earth.
