Why the upside-down flags?
Are we being disrespectful? Are we unpatriotic? Nothing could be further from the truth. This church is full of patriots and veterans.
We display the flags upside down in solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001—a day when our nation was attacked, but also a time when Americans came together with an extraordinary sense of unity, compassion, and patriotism.
Twenty-five years later, our nation is deeply divided. The upside-down flag is a traditional symbol of distress. We use it today to say: our nation is in distress, and we need to remember what 9/11 taught us about standing together.
Jesus said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
May these flags remind us to love our neighbors, protect one another, and pursue righteousness.
May this be our prayer: that America would once again find unity, liberty, and righteousness.

We have already prepared for your visit! Our nursery is clean and well-staffed and our children’s program is well-organized and fun. The preaching is designed to help each of us grow spiritually and to strengthen our relationship with God.
