BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
1973 – Born in Indiana on December 1st
1978 – Born again at the age of four in his Indiana home through his mother’s witness
1978 – Baptized just a few weeks after salvation at First Baptist Church of Hammond, IN
1983 – Moved to Minneapolis, MN, with his family
1985 – Surrendered everything to the Lord Jesus Christ.
1985 – Began to preach in Sunday school classes and the youth group
1991 – Graduated from Fourth Baptist Christian School, Minneapolis, MN
1991 – Enrolled in Ambassador Baptist College, Shelby, NC
1992 – Preached my first revival meeting in North Sioux City, SD
1992-1993 – Sang with the Ambassador Baptist College summer singing groups
1994-1998 – Sang and preached with the Ambassador Summer singing groups
1995 – Graduated in May from Ambassador Baptist College with a Bachelor's Degree in Bible and Evangelism
1995 – Enrolled in Ambassador's graduate program
1996 – Entered into Evangelism on a part-time basis
1997 – Finished the class work for the graduate program at ABC
1997 – Entered full-time evangelism
1998 – Ordained to the gospel ministry by Berean Baptist Church of Shelby, NC
1998 – Graduated in May with a Masters of Biblical Studies degree from Ambassador Baptist Graduate School
1998 – Married Amber Caple on October 3
2002 – Nathaniel Theodore Smith was born into the Smith home on July 26, 2002
2005 – Peter Benaiah Smith was born into the Smith home on March 23, 2005
2007 – Timothy Dwight Smith was born into the Smith home on August 29, 2007
2007-2009 – Served at Ambassador Baptist College as Assistant to the President while continuing evangelistic meetings
2010 – Andrew Micaiah Smith was born into the Smith home on March 31. 2010
2017 – Audra Gabriella Smith was born into the Smith home on January 4, 2017
2025 – Celebrating the finish of 28 years in evangelism!
2025 – At the present, the Lord has allowed Dwight Smith to preach in all fifty different states and twenty-three foreign countries. This is his twenty-ninth year of evangelism and thirty-fifth year of preaching. He has preached in over nine hundred revival meetings and has been privileged to see God at work miraculously in his life and the life of his family. Many people have been saved and countless Christians made life changing decisions under his preaching. To God be the glory great things He hath done!
